Education
I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and my Master's in Clinical Counseling as well as a Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy all from Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia.

Background
I completed my internship at Columbus State University's Counseling Center working with college students aged 17-50. I have worked extensively with children, adolescents, and adults in state custody - Department of Family and Children Services as well as Department of Juvenile Justice. I have experience in working with parents to improve their parenting skills and strengthen their relationship with their children. I have counseled older teens and adults helping them navigate this world we live in. I also have experience in non-directive play therapy and art therapy.
Personal
My husband, Paul and I celebrated our 30 year wedding anniversary this year. He works in the corporate automotive industry. (Navigating 30 years of marriage has helped me become a better therapist for couples.) I have two grown boys, one teaches middle school science here in Columbus, Georgia and the other is an architect in Atlanta. I have a dog named Sampson, a bird named Corvo, and two turtles named Donatello, and Leonardo. I love to read and travel.

Each person is a unique individual, I like to meet my client where they are. Methods used are all research based, but tailored to meet your individual needs.
Therapy is like a dance. When a therapist and client enter into a therapeutic relationship we both bring who we are into the room. I bring my passion for each client, my empathy, and my energy into the room to share with you. Therapy can sometimes be messy and we might cry together or laugh together on our journey to finding the best version of ourselves that we can.
